AIDC 2010, The Strongest Line-up to Date.

     

AIDC 2010 was held at the Hilton Adelaide, with industry representatives attending from over 16 countries, including 60 broadcast executives and investors, and prestigious filmmakers from across the country and globe… 

 

Highlights included: 

 

Hearing from Thom Beers (Ice Road Truckers, Original Productions), Brian Hill of Sylvania Waters,  Jon Smith of The Family (2008), and the makers of Bondi Rescue, on how to make exciting, commercially successful factual programming;    

Sessions on different approaches to financing including working with global broadcasters and NGOs, corporate sponsorship, pre-selling content to on-line websites, and co-productions; 

Inspiration from great filmmakers including Jerusalem-based Alan Rosenthal, Jonathan Stack on adapting to the new media landscape, Australia’s own internationally successful Gillian Armstrong, and the 2010 Stanley Hawes award winner Tom Zubrycki

 

AIDC 2011 will be held from 1 - 4 March in Adelaide, Australia.
