Do you want first dibs on marketplace meetings at AIDC 2026’s Cut to the Chase curated pitch meetings program?
 
Get your applications in by the early deadline - Friday 23 January - and you’ll be first in line to secure meetings with preferred decision makers participating in AIDC 2026.

Cut to the Chase is also where you can access this year’s special partnered pitching opportunities, like:

• The DocPlay Indie Booster - a new $20,000 initiative for independent feature documentary makers to boost their theatrical screening campaigns. @docplaynow 
• The Post Lounge Group Doc Pitch - for documentary features, one-offs or series across any genre, with a share in up to $35,000 of equity investment through development, production, and post-production support. @thepostlounge 
• The Shark Island Foundation Feature Docs Pitch - for feature-length documentaries to share in up to $100,000 in development grants, as well as four placements to participate in a new Shark Island Kangaroo Valley Development Lab. @sharkislandinstitute 
 
Submitting a project is easy and free for anyone with an AIDC 2026 Business Pass or All Access Pass, with all documentary and factual formats considered across film, broadcast, digital media and audio.
 
The final submission deadline for Cut to the Chase is 30 January 2026.

📢 AIDC 2026 Indigenous Creators Pitch deadline extended and new decision makers announced!

If you have an Indigenous-led documentary or factual project and are seeking market support, apply today for the 2026 Indigenous Creators Pitch, part of AIDC’s Indigenous Creators Program and proudly supported by @indigenous_business_australia.

With the addition of two new decision makers to the pitch panel comes an official extension for applications to 11:59pm (AEDT), this Sunday 18 January.

Successful projects will be given the opportunity to pitch to a closed room of local and international buyers and funders specifically looking to support Indigenous-led nonfiction screen stories, including the newly added Eddie Coupe, Head of Industry, @melbfilmfest / MIFF Premiere Fund (Australia), and Mat Kesting, CEO / Creative Director, @adlfilmfest (Australia), alongside previously announced decision makers from ABC Australia, NITV,  Shark Island Foundation (Australia), American Documentary | POV (USA), TIFF (Canada), and Points North Institute (USA).

One project will also be selected to receive the $5,000 Indigenous Creators Pitch Prize presented by AIDC. The pitch will take place during AIDC 2026 (2-5 March, ACMI, Naarm)
