Alex is co-founder and director of Documentary NZ Trust ("Doc Edge").

Alex is a co-director/founder of Doc Edge, NZ’s national documentary organisation and Oscar qualifying film festival. He co-produced award-winning documentary Hip Hop-eration. Currently, he is producing feature NZ Film Commission supported documentaries Interference director Welby Ings, Where Was It Said You Should Be Happy? director Thomas Burstyn (NZ/Canada), I Thought Jesus Was Korean director Elina Osborne, Memory of Longing director Kim Webby. He is currently co-producing Korban Season 2, a TV series in coproduction with Singapore. Alex is also an entertainment lawyer.
