Indigenous Voices, Future Visions
Innovation A spotlight on innovative international First Nations artists working at the nexus of storytelling and cutting-edge technologies.
Indigenous creators from around the world share their experiences using innovative technologies such as XR, VR, AR, AI, algorithmic patterns, ML, gamification, and data science to tell their stories.
The panel will feature international First Nations practitioners who will discuss how these technologies are being used to create non-linear, experiential works that reflect traditional values of co-creation and collective storytelling. The session will offer a unique perspective on how technology can be used as a tool for Indigenous creators to design and shape their own futures, giving them agency over the representation of their stories, history, and culture.
