All Aboard - Access and Inclusion with Bus Stop Films

In this session, Tracey Corbin-Matchett OAM, the CEO of Bus Stop Films – a groundbreaking social enterprise that uses filmmaking and the film industry to challenge global attitudes around people living with disabilities – takes us through two recent documentaries that drew upon Bus Stop’s inclusive consultancy – This is Going to be Big (Fremantle Australia and Truce Pictures) and Rewards for the Tribe (Film Camp).

Both films included people with disability in both cast and crew and applied inclusive filmmaking principles and practice across the production cycle, with This is Going to be Big becoming the first feature film to receive Bus Stop’s Inclusively Made accreditation.

Corbin-Matchett is joined on the panel by key players in the making of both documentaries: Jim Wright (Truce Films), Molly O’Connor (Film Camp), Catherine Bradbury (Fremantle Australia) and Dianna La Grassa (Bus Stop Films). The panel will discuss the origins, production and impact of these documentaries, and how to ensure inclusivity from concept through to delivery and beyond.
