They founded their production company in 2006 and through their work, Mitch advocates for change and tells stories – both their own lived experience and that of others – to elevate marginalised voices and causes. In 2023, Mitch released their first feature documentary film Equal the Contest, which was selected for 9 film festivals in Australia and Internationally and won several awards, including Best First Feature documentary at Melbourne Queer Film Festival and the Positive Media Award at the Australian Pride in Sport awards. Equal the Contest is creating ongoing impact for gender equality in sport and is due for release on SBS on Demand on 28 February 2025. Mitch is currently in pre-production for their next feature documentary, The Gender Game.
