AIDC TO LEAD AUSTRALIAN DELEGATION TO HOT DOCS 2020
Calling all Australian documentary and factual practitioners wanting to connect with Canada
The Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) is pleased to announce that it will lead a delegation of Australian documentary and factual practitioners to Hot Docs, North America’s largest documentary festival and marketplace, in 2020.
Hot Docs takes place from Thursday 30 April to Sunday 10 May 2020 in Toronto, Canada, with its world-class industry program running Monday 4 May to Friday 8 May 2020.
A limited number of All-Access Passes to Hot Docs are now available for Australians at a special 30% discount rate (CAD$675.00+HST), providing full access to the festival and suite of industry programming.
AIDC is also pleased to be able to provide a 10% discount on flights to Toronto with Air Canada.
Limited travel support is being offered by state screen agencies. To find out if you are eligible, please contact your local state agency directly.
Benefits for Australian practitioners attending as part of the delegation include full access to the Hot Docs Festival and Industry program, access to Hot Docs Deal Maker and Distribution Rendezvous meetings, access to the Hot Docs Forum, and one free film submission to the Doc Shop – Hot Docs’ on-demand digital video library for buyers and programmers.
The AIDC-led delegation is mirrored by a reciprocal delegation organised by Ontario Creates, which will see a number of Canadian producers attend AIDC 2020 in March.
