New international guest for Industry Roundtable: Meet the Film Funds Making a Difference
AIDC and Screen Queensland, in collaboration with Screenworks, are thrilled to announce the addition of Amanda Arya, Director of Documentary for Participant, to the REGIONALITY CAIRNS 2023 line-up, taking place 28 July 2023.
Participant is a leading global media company dedicated to entertainment that inspires audiences to engage in positive social change. Its films and series have won 21 Academy Awards® and 11 Emmys®, and include such titles as Flee, An Inconvenient Truth, CITIZENFOUR, The Cove and American Factory.
As Director of Documentary at Participant, Amanda scouts for new projects and supports the slate from development through release. She has worked on award-winning titles including Academy Award®-nominated All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, as well as recent releases Descendant and Lowndes County and the Road to Black Power.
Amanda will participate virtually in the Industry Roundtable: Meet the Film Funds Making a Difference session, joining Keisha Knight, Director IDA Funds International, International Documentary Association; and Hollie Fifer, Director of Australian Programs, Doc Society, as they reveal what they are looking for, the opportunities they offer, and how best to work with them.
