AMAZON, HULU & NETFLIX JOIN AIDC 2021 MARKETPLACE

With just over six weeks until AIDC 2021 kicks off and our marketplace deadline looming, we’re excited to announce an impressive line-up of decision makers from some of the world’s most renowned streaming platforms: Amazon, Hulu and Netflix.
NAKUL LEGHA, CONTENT ACQUISITIONS & ORIGINALS, NETFLIX
Nakul Legha is part of the Netflix Australia & New Zealand content team leading film and television licensing and co-productions for the market, and is also a creative executive on the local originals slate. Before joining Netflix, Nakul was in Business & Legal Affairs at the ABC where he worked on commissioning, development, talent and acquisitions deals across scripted and factual/entertainment. On behalf of Netflix, Nakul will be hosting a roundtable at AIDC 2021.
TYLER BERN, HEAD OF CONTENT, PRIME VIDEO AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, AMAZON
Tyler Bern oversees Amazon’s content strategy for Prime Video in ANZ. He has been instrumental in commissioning six Amazon Original programs in Australia, including The Test: A New Era for Australia’s Team and a currently untitled AFL docu-series project. Tyler comes to AIDC 2021 seeking unique Australian documentaries.
BELISA BALABAN, VP OF ORIGINAL DOCUMENTARIES, HULU
Belisa Balaban leads Hulu’s efforts around the development, production and acquisition of Hulu’s award-winning original documentaries and limited series. These titles include Oscar-nominee and Peabody award-winner Minding the Gap, Emmy-winning Crime + Punishment, and the recent limited series, Hillary. Prior to joining Hulu, Belisa served as the head of original programming at Participant Media’s cable network, Pivot.
KATE BUSTAMANTE, SENIOR ASSOCIATE, ORIGINAL DOCUMENTARIES, HULU
Kate Bustmante supports Hulu’s efforts around the development, production and acquisition of Hulu’s award-winning Original nonfiction slate. Titles include Oscar-nominee and Peabody award-winner Minding the Gap, Emmy-nominee Hillary and the recent series Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi. Prior to joining Hulu Kate worked at Paradigm Talent Agency.
BETH OSISEK, SENIOR MANAGER, ORIGINAL DOCUMENTARIES, HULU
Beth Osisek recently joined the Hulu team where she brings her decades-long experience as a visual storyteller to the position. She is driven by a belief in the power of an individual’s story to impact change. Beth most recently executive produced the three-part Netflix docu-series Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates with Academy Award-winning director Davis Guggenheim.
