DOC.LAB.INTERACT Returns For AIDC 2024
TAKE PART IN A RAPID PROTOTYPING WORKSHOP FOR INTERACTIVE NONFICTION STORYTELLING
Do you have a documentary or factual project with interactive storytelling potential? Can you envisage your project as a playable game, virtual reality work, or large-scale immersive experience?
Presented by VicScreen, AIDC’s interactive documentary storytelling lab – Doc.Lab.Interact – is returning for its third iteration, this year with internationally-acclaimed Australian interactive artists Ben Joseph Andrews and Emma Roberts as workshop hosts.
Ben and Emma’s work has appeared at the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, MIT Open Doc Lab (US), Science Gallery Michigan (US), and Kunstahl Charlottenborg (Denmark), among others, and their production Gondwana won the 2022 AIDC Award for Best Interactive / Immersive Documentary.
Held during AIDC 2024’s Innovation Day, Sunday 3 March 2024, Doc.Lab.Interact will provide selected participants with a rapid prototyping workshop and pitch training designed to develop documentary projects into ready-to-pitch interactive or immersive concepts.
Applications are now open for Australian nonfiction practitioners with a documentary or factual project in development that has interactive or immersive storytelling potential.
Applications close 11:59pm (AEDT), Thursday 1 February 2024. Learn more and apply on the Doc.Lab.Interact page.
