Join award-winning archive producer and copyright specialist Elizabeth Klinck for a deep dive into the art of archival research in documentary filmmaking. With a career spanning over four decades, collaborations with major international broadcasters such as HBO, PBS, BBC and hundreds of films, Elizabeth has earned international recognition for her meticulous research and use of archival material. Drawing on her vast repertoire including Werner Herzog: Radical Dreamer, Stories We Tell and Eat That Question: Frank Zappa in His Own Words, Klinck will share insights into the essential role that visual research and archival content play in shaping and crafting compelling stories.

From locating rare footage to navigating complex rights clearance, Elizabeth will guide attendees through the intricacies of sourcing and licensing visual materials; from commercial archives to public domain collections, community archives and archives under threat.
