Beyond the Box: the future of storytelling is collaborative
Collective Intelligence Constantly challenged to tell stories in different ways, this session explores how creative collaborations can forge new ways of thinking, telling stories and co-creating.
How can documentary push at the boundaries of storytelling in ways that challenge our individual (and limited) perspectives?
This session presents a fresh approach to telling stories and exploring worlds through diverse modes of collective intelligence. Exploring a range of innovative approaches to working together, ACMI CEO Katrina Sedgwick hosts the conversation through foregrounding the groundbreaking creative possibilities in Back to Back Theatre’s approach to collaboration as democratic process; Aaron Fa’Aoso and Paul Walton’s new approaches to co-production in the Torres Strait Islands’ Strait to the Plate; and Maya Newell’s discussion of shared authorship and sustainable relationships in the making of In My Blood it Runs.
