Co-productions are often championed as the answer to funding challenges and a key to accessing global audiences, and yet their complexities can deter practitioners. Why do so few official co-productions emerge from Australia, and how can we bridge the gap?

In this session moderator Stephen Oliver (ABC) will be joined by international broadcasters Laura Miret (ARTE France) and Nic Meloney (CBC) and local producer Karina Holden. Together, they will demystify the intricate world of co-productions, spanning official co-productions, unofficial collaborations, and co-financing.
