Raw Data, Real Stories Pitch
Marketplace Come and watch as four teams comprising of data journalists and creative technologists pitch for a $40,000 prize
AIDC and Google News Initiative launch Raw Data, Real Stories, a bold new $40,000 pitching initiative open to journalists and non-fiction storytellers that celebrates experimentation and collaboration between story and technology to bring raw data to life.
Hosted in collaboration with ACMI, Raw Data, Real Stories is set to break new ground by re-imagining data’s role in storytelling within the non-fiction landscape and support the development of data journalism and the creation of a major new piece of work. You are invited to join us as four teams of journalists and creative technologists pitch for a grand prize of $40,000 to turn their raw data into a new creative work for a real audience.
Raw Data, Real Stories will be assessed by a jury made up of Nic Hopkins (Lead, Google News Initiative), Astrid Scott (Senior Producer, ABC R&D) and Nick Evershed (Data Journalist, The Guardian).
Please note, this session is open to the General Public and capacity is limited. Entry is free but please reserve your ticket at the ACMI website here to avoid disappointment.
