Jury Announced for 2023 AIDC Awards
FEATURING DOC & FACTUAL EXPERTS FROM BBC STUDIOS, THE NEW YORK TIMES, AL JAZEERA, SPOTIFY & MORE
We are very pleased to announce the national and international jurors for the 3rd annual AIDC Awards, featuring renowned creators, producers, and decision makers from across the documentary and factual industry.
The Awards will be presented on Wednesday 8 March at ACMI, Melbourne during AIDC 2023, acknowledging the very best Australian documentary and factual work of the last year across six categories: Best Feature Documentary, Best Documentary/Factual Series; Best Documentary/Factual Single; Best Short-Form Documentary, Best Audio Documentary, and Best Interactive/Immersive Documentary.
Winners across selected categories will also receive prizes presented by AIDC partners, including the $5,000 Best Feature Documentary Prize, presented by Film Finances; $5,000 Best Documentary/Factual Single Prize, presented by Artisan Post Group; $3,000 Best Audio Documentary Prize, presented by AFTRS; and $3,000 Best Interactive / Immersive Documentary Prize, presented by Deakin Motion Lab.
The 2023 AIDC Awards Jury comprises members with specific screen knowledge and industry experience in their respective categories.

“Now in its third year, the AIDC Awards recognise and celebrate the storytelling craft, creative vision and unique voices of our nonfiction storytellers across all forms and formats,” said AIDC CEO / Creative Director, Natasha Gadd.
“The AIDC 2023 Awards will shine a spotlight on the very best of recent productions – from shorts to features, series and singles, audio and interactive – and we’re thrilled to have such a world-class line-up of local and international talent represented on the 2023 AIDC Awards jury.”
The nominees for the 2023 AIDC Awards will be revealed on 16 February, when we also announce the winner of the prestigious Stanley Hawes Award for 2023 – a $5,000 prize presented annually at AIDC to a person or organisation that has made an outstanding contribution to the Australian documentary and factual sector. The Stanley Hawes Award will be presented during the AIDC Awards presentation at ACMI on 8 March 2023.
