Co-presented by AIDC and Screenworks with support from Screen NSW, REGIONALITY is a new one-day industry program for regional documentary practitioners.

The program combines pitching, training masterclasses and networking into one jam-packed day providing exposure for regionally-based nonfiction practitioners like never before. 

The REGIONALITY program includes:

  • the live REGIONALITY Pitch
  • high-level masterclasses with international heavyweights
  • business opportunities including one-on-one meetings and networking drinks to end the day

Ticket holders will also have the opportunity to meet with decision makers at the event although spots are limited – you can indicate your interest when purchasing a ticket.

REGIONALITY will be held at Lennox Head Cultural Centre in northern NSW on Friday 25 June 2021.

THE REGIONALITY PITCH

Applications for the REGIONALITY Pitch are now CLOSED.

As part of REGIONALITY, AIDC and Screenworks are calling for regionally-based NSW practitioners with market-ready projects across the documentary and factual sector to apply for the REGIONALITY Pitch.

This live pitching opportunity will see up to four teams selected, provided with international training, mentorship, and trailer editing, before pitching to key local and international decision makers. Post-pitch meetings between interested decision makers and pitching teams will also be facilitated by AIDC. 

Mentoring of the Pitch participants will be conducted by Ikka Vehkalahti, Executive Producer, IV Films, Toinen Katse Ltd & Rough Cut Service.

The REGIONALITY Pitch will be adjudicated by three assessment committee members and one pitch mentor – click here for further details on the these industry leaders:
