MEET THE PRODUCERS PARTICIPATING THIS YEAR

2025 Visiting Canadian Delegates

2025 Australian Co-Production Market participants will be announced in January.

AUSTRALIAN X CANADIAN CO-PRODUCTION WORKSHOP

All participating producers are invited to take part in an online Australian x Canadian Co-Production Workshop prior to AIDC with a focus on showcasing co-production opportunities and incentives between the two countries.

The Australian x Canadian Co-Production Workshop will take place online in early February for Australian and Canadian producers taking part in the Co-Production Market.

During the workshop, representatives from Screen Australia and Telefilm will provide an overview of the Canadian and Australian funding landscape as well as the Co-production Treaty, funding benefits and key requirements to consider when entering into a co-production. Participants will also gain insights into a current Canadian-Australian co-production in development.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

The Australian x Canadian Co-Production Market is designed specifically with experienced Australian producers and production companies in mind who have the capacity to engage in official and unofficial co-production with Canada.

AIDC is inviting applications from experienced Australian producers representing an Australian production company to be considered for the Co-Production Market. The application process is simple and straightforward with applicants asked to provide a company profile, information regarding current or future projects and any history with international co-productions.

Applicants will also be asked to indicate if they:

    • have current or future projects and are looking for international co-production opportunities with Canadian companies;
    • or are looking to come on board as a co-producer for current or future Canadian projects.

Applicants do not need to purchase an AIDC pass to apply, but successful applicants will need to purchase an All Access Pass or Business Pass to participate. If selected, up to two Australian producers from the same production company may participate in curated meetings.

Meetings will be curated on a match-making basis with verified mutual interest from both Australian and Canadian producers with additional curatorial support from the AIDC team.

Scheduled meetings will be 20 minutes in length, and will take place in person during AIDC on Sunday 2 March, 2025. Participating delegates will be notified of their selection in late January and meeting schedules in mid-February.

Please ensure you register your interest prior to the closing date of 23:59 PM AEDT Friday 17 January 2025.
