DocPlay is looking for unique, original home-grown stories to distribute exclusively on its premium Australasian streaming platform.
The DocPlay Originals Pitch will give producers the opportunity to pitch and partner with DocPlay to produce long-form, episodic docu-series. Producers are invited to submit docu-series projects for consideration across the following key genres: Biography, True-Crime, History, Art & Culture, Music, Science, Indigenous stories, Technology and Sport. Projects with international appeal or already in development with international partners are strongly encouraged to apply.
Shortlisted projects will have the chance to pitch to DocPlay and Madman representatives during AIDC.
If a project is commissioned, producers will be given the opportunity to secure an all-rights licensing agreement. DocPlay will take an equity stake in the project via a minimum guarantee investment at a level commensurate with the production budget and market appeal.
The successful project will have access to DocPlay and Madman’s marketplace insight and expertise as well as full access to Madman’s network of international distribution and sales agent partners.
