REGIONALITY CAIRNS to Return for 2023
A One-day Documentary and Factual Screen Industry Event for Regional Queensland Practitioners
AIDC and Screen Queensland, in collaboration with Screenworks, are pleased to announce the return of REGIONALITY CAIRNS, a one-day screen industry event designed to support and elevate documentary and factual practitioners in regional Queensland.
Set to take place Friday 28 July at the Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC), the second edition of REGIONALITY CAIRNS will combine a masterclass, pitch workshop, industry sessions, curated meetings, and networking in a one-day event providing exposure for regional Queensland-based nonfiction practitioners.
Following the success of the first edition in 2022 and drawing on attendee feedback about its most valued aspects, the 2023 REGIONALITY event will provide a targeted program, including:
- A high-level filmmaking masterclass with international guests
- Industry Roundtable sessions with local and international representatives
- Business opportunities through one-on-one curated meetings
- A pitch workshop with leading documentary decision makers
- Spotlight panel discussions highlighting Queensland factual filmmaking talent
- Networking event and opportunities
The first line-up of speakers and decision makers is scheduled to be announced on Wednesday 7 June , 2023.
