Regionality Sunshine Coast First Line-Up Announcement

Meet the Participating Decision Makers Speaking and Taking 1:1 Meetings

AIDC and Screen Queensland with the support of Sunshine Coast Council, in collaboration with the Sunshine Coast Screen Collective, are excited to announce the first line-up of local decision makers confirmed to participate in Regionality Sunshine Coast, a one-day documentary and factual screen industry event happening Friday 26 July at the Maroochy RSL. 

Decision makers representing broadcasting, streaming, and film funds will be on the ground to connect with documentary and factual practitioners from regional and South East Queensland through industry sessions, 1:1 meetings and networking events.

Our initial line-up includes:

RICHARD HUDDLESTON | HEAD OF DOCUMENTARY, SCREEN AUSTRALIA

Richard joined Screen Australia in 2024 as Head of Documentary, and is responsible for driving the strategic direction for the agency’s documentary funding programs as well as implementing broader content department priorities. 

JO CHICHESTER | COMMISSIONING EDITOR, FACTUAL, ABC

Jo joined the ABC Factual team as Commissioning Editor in 2023 and was previously the Manager of Screen at the ABC. Her commissions have included Brilliant Creatures, Streets of Your Town, Mambo: Life Imitates Art, The Go-Betweens: Right Here, Folau, Harley & Katya, The Australian Dream, Freeman, and the hit show Muster Dogs, currently in production for S3.

BETHAN ARWEL-LEWIS  | COMMISSIONING EDITOR, FACTUAL, SBS

Bethan joined SBS as Commissioning Editor, Factual, in January 2023. Having worked in the TV industry for 20 years, Bethan has been responsible for multiple award-winning documentary series and factual formats, both in Australia and in the United Kingdom.

HOLLIE FIFER | DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL PROJECTS, DOC SOCIETY

Hollie is a cultural strategist with a passion for working alongside and for documentary filmmakers to unlock the potential of their stories for change. At Doc Society, Hollie develops funds, convenings, networks and initiatives to strengthen the field.

DANIELLE AH BOO | HEAD OF ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER UNIT, SCREEN QUEENSLAND

Danielle is Screen Queensland’s first Head of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Unit, a new leadership role created to uplift First Nations voices across the state’s screen industry. Her role at Screen Queensland is to elevate awareness of the cultural significance of First Nations storytelling and amplifying First Nations voices in the screen industry, as truth-telling holds immense significance in shaping our nation’s history.

IAN LYNCH | ACTING HEAD OF CONTENT – INDUSTRY AND INITIATIVES | SCREEN QUEENSLAND

Ian is an experienced producer, director and manager of teams in the creative production of network broadcast, online, and streaming content. He joined Screen Queensland in 2022 as Content Director after a career in the UK, as well as working on projects for US and Australian broadcasters. At Screen Queensland, Ian has supported documentaries including The Swap, Dawn of the Dolphins, Missing Person’s Investigation,The Black Hand and Reefshot.
