With decades of science, history and natural history experience as a network executive, producer, writer and director, Colette has produced hundreds of hours of non-fiction programs with some of the world’s major broadcasters.
She has worked across the globe for National Geographic, Netflix, Disney, Discovery, BBC, PBS, CBS, History Channel, Science Channel, Animal Planet, ARTE France and others, and has been nominated for two PrimeTime Emmy Awards. She is Managing Director of Sydney-based SeaLight Pictures, which, among other awards, recently won the Critics Choice Real TV Awards for Best Animal/Nature Show for Life in Colour with David Attenborough.
Colette holds a Masters degree in Environmental Science from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Boston University. She has also studied at Oxford University in the UK, as well as in France and Australia, and is an experienced scuba diver. Colette is passionate about opportunities for women in wildlife filmmaking and has mentored emerging female producers for years, contributing to SeaLight’s associate producer Annabel Robinson being named the WCSFP’s Emerging Producer of the Year.
