Dr Naomi Koh Belic 許佳丽 (she/her) is a second-generation Australian and a first-generation university graduate that is passionate about making science accessible.

Naomi has a PhD in stem cell biology from UTS where she was an award-winning educator. She was a Senior Research Development Officer at USYD, she was on the steering committee of both the Pride and Mosaic network where she contributed to the Say My Name campaign and the Workplace Diversity Tool with the Australian Human Rights Commission.

Naomi is also presenter and producer for science and health at the ABC where she created educational vertical video content for TikTok and Instagram. She’s also the author of several science and health articles with ABC and was a development producer on a new science series. Naomi also has television experience, she hosted Sciencey with ABC, was a biology expert on Discovery Channel and features on Queerstralia.

Naomi’s freelance projects focus on amplifying voices of minority communities. For example, she initiated and is supporting an Indigenous lead educational project with DeadlyScience. She produced her first documentary which premiered at MCA last year, it was an intentionally intersectional breakdown of fat stigma.
