Isaac Elliott is an AACTA and Australian Directors Guild (ADG) nominated director originally from Alice Springs, Northern Territory. Now based in Melbourne, he draws from his experience growing up in the bush along with his living with a disability to explore unique and interesting characters, with a darkly comic bent.

Isaac’s university graduating film A Static Wind was awarded Best Tertiary Short Fiction at the 2016 ATOM awards, and finalist in the 2017 Lexus Australia Short film fellowship. He has received Australian Directors Guild nominations for Best Direction in a Children’s program for The Legend of Burnout Barry (2019), and the ABC Kids/Netflix TV series Maverix (2022), which he also served as creator with Brindle Films. His latest short film, Don’t Come In…Yet made its Australian premiere at Flickerfest Film Festival in 2023.

In documentary, Isaac co-produced and starred in the feature documentary Finke: There and Back, produced with Brindle films and narrated by Eric Bana. He was also the director of Burlesque Boys, an SBS Viceland documentary about the life of a male stripper, which has gained more than 2.7 million views online. In 2022, Isaac directed We Are Sexual Beings for SBS, about young Australians dating with a disability. As a director, Isaac fosters an atmosphere of fun and enthusiasm on set, encouraging collaboration and creativity.
