Mackenzie Donaldson is a Toronto and Los Angeles based producer, director and writer.

Mackenzie is a Toronto based producer, most well known for her work producing the critically acclaimed; Emmy, Peabody and CSA award-winning; and Golden Globe nominated show Orphan Black And the Emmy nominated series adaptation of Snowpiercer for TNT/Netflix. Mackenzie is the president of The Donaldson Company and under that banner she has produced many award-winning short films and short form series, as well as two feature documentaries: Citizen Bio for Showtime and The Abnormal Beauty Company to be released in 2025. Mackenzie released her first feature film, and co-directorial debut, The Definites in 2017. And is in the middle of the release for her solo-directorial debut All The Lost Ones, which she also produced, to be released on Paramount+ December 2024. The Donaldson Company will be going to camera on their next series, Bad Trips for Crave, in 2025 – an Australian/Canadian co-pro based on the memoir ”Bad Trips”by Slava Pastuk.

The Donaldson Company is a boutique Toronto based entertainment company that believes no screen is too small for good stories. Be it TV, digital storytelling, film or documentaries – The Donaldson Company puts story first. Established in 2017 by producer Mackenzie Donaldson, the production company is currently developing a slate of projects for the global marketplace which includes premium dramas and comedies, unscripted series, feature documentaries and genre films.
