Marissa is a Wiradjuri woman who has 15 years experience working in the First Nation multi-media storytelling space.

Marissa is currently employed by SBS as the Head of Commissions for NITV. Throughout her career, Marissa has worked with First Nation communities telling their stories.  She is the Chair for Us Mob Writers, on the Gender Matters Taskforce and a member of the Minister’s Creative Council. She has a Master of Arts Screen Business and Leadership from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) a Bachelor of Arts Honours from the University of Canberra (UC) and Graduate Certificate in Wiradjuri Language, Culture and Heritage at Charles Sturt University.
