Prash Naik is co-founder of Creators Counsel, a boutique media law practice (Sydney and London), that provides specialist content legal advice to TV and film producers. He also acts as General Counsel to Doc Society an innovative non-profit foundation (London, New York, Amsterdam, and Sydney) supporting independent documentary filmmakers globally.

Prash was the former General Counsel for Channel 4 Television, and he has spent over 30 years advising, defending, and protecting filmmakers. At Channel 4 he played a key role in creative risk-taking and is much sought after as the “go-to” lawyer to get high-risk films to air. He is also highly regarded as a crisis management specialist having advised at executive and board level on many high-profile cases ranging from press controversies to the protection of sources, and cases involving the detention, kidnap and ransom of filmmakers.

He has advised across many groundbreaking documentaries including Undercover: Exposing the Far Right, Antidote, The Cranes Call, While We Watched, and Tango with Putin. Prash is also a non-executive director on the board of the Doc Society Foundation and is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
