Tom Powers is the President & Executive Producer of Open Door. He is a senior entertainment executive and lawyer based in Toronto with over 20 years of high-level experience as an executive producer and creator of critically acclaimed television, films, and recorded music. He possesses a strong mix of creative, strategic, corporate, and legal experience. Tom has produced 9 prime time series, 6 feature documentaries and 2 major label albums over his career and is a multiple CSA and Gemini Award nominee. He has and maintains deep domestic and international relationships in the documentary/factual world. Tom is a graduate of Queen’s University with degrees in Political Science and Law and was in private practice as a corporate/entertainment lawyer for many years.
